Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! So far we've had a very nice day! I cooked 2 pumpkin pies yesterday and made a chocolate pudding pie. We had a married couple over and they were nice enough to make a bunch of side dishes so I wouldn't have to do a lot of the work! The turkey came out great, though I almost forgot to take it out of the freezer to defrost it. The only thing I burnt this year was the supposedly easy buns that you just pop in the oven and brown. I blackened them , but only about half so it wasn't too bad!
.

The girls had a very time playing with our guests, the hubby of the couple is great with kids and made sure to do his part to get all of their extra energy out! Katie had a giant Wall-E that Joel had made her out of big Lego's which was the center of their play. Our guests left an hour ago and in a few minute's we'll be watching the Snoopy Thanksgiving special which we are all looking forward to!

.
So here are some things I am very thankful for...
.

My beautiful girls who are so smart, happy, and unique!
.

My dear husband who is patient, loving, and smart!
.

Friends who are there for you when you go through terrible times.
.

My brother who never fails to call and cheer me up!
.

Of course the usual roof over my head and food in my tummy.
.

Our little baby, Deidre Jael, who I carried for 10 weeks and will love forever.
.

God's strength and love that carried me through the hardest tragedy of my life.
.

My children's laughter and compassion.
.

And most of all the little miracle that God has blessed us with and is growing right now inside me... say hi to Baby Pumpkin!

That's right I'm pregnant! I had an ultrasound on Joel's birthday (the 25th) and our baby has a strong heartbeat and is growing at a normal, healthy rate! I will be 12 weeks along tomorrow and my due date is June 15th. Praise God for His goodness, mercy, and strength and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

ObambamaLlama

Okay so I've managed not to blog about the election til this very moment but I felt I really needed to get my opinion out there, mostly so I'd stop pestering my poor husband with it! ObamabamaLlama, which is what I call Obama for no other reason other than I think it sounds funny, is the president elect.

Stink.

We're all going to die.

Run away, run away now.

Perhaps we could all move to Alaska and go hunting with Palin and discuss how unborn babies have a right to life...
